The Talk Of The Month - There Is No Light Without Darkness

This month I have a talk by Alan Watts. I can not say much about Alan Watts because I have never met him in person. For me it is also getting less and less important to find out things about the person, it is much more about what the person says. And I can say this talk is mind blowing for me. His words touched something very deep in me. He says there is no high without low so we should stop fighting the low. There is no light without darkness so we should stop fighting the darkness. If we could accept that this things come always together we can relax. We start by accepting that these opposites  are separate but in the same moment also the same. For me this talk has a very deep truth inside which I hope you enjoy it. Have a wonderful month! Big Hug and love Jan Who Is speaking? Let Go of Attachment with Alan Watts, U.G Krishnamurti and Terrence Mc Kenna.

Hello Dear Readers, T he last few months have been all about letting go for me . I would love so much to be able to be present in the moment without want ing to capture it .   I got to understand that letting go is more of an attitude than an active act.   We can see it very well in children, they let the moments come and go. One moment they 're laughing, then they 're sad and the next moment   they are already in a different emotional state. They are just flowing with what's there right now. Just like children, we are also carrying this ability somewhere deep inside , maybe we should try to remember i t . In this month’s talk, three people share their thoughts on this topic:  Alan Watts, U.G Krishnamurti and Terrence Mc Kenna. I hope you can enjoy the talk and it inspires you to let go more ..... Virtual hug and lots of love   Jan Who Is speaking? My name is Jan Diringer and I live on this beautiful island of Crete since 2021. ...

The Talk Of The Month: The Life That You Are

The talk of this month is   You Do Not Have a Life by Eckhard Tolle. He is an enlightened master, spiritual teacher, and author. His most popular book is “The Power of NOW“.   He is speaking all over the world and in my opinion, he has a very beautiful sense of humour and a verry keen power of observation.   I find this talk very impressive because it shows how easily we get trapped in the mind game. This game only works by separation and duality.   In this talk the main issue is the perceived separation between you   and you having a life, but it can be every other thought, it does not matter, because our mind likes to run the show and keep us busy.   This game always starts with some kind of separation and then the door is open for judgment and fighting.   If there is no separation, there is also no space for fighting and then there is only oneness. The problem is we cannot reach and discover this oneness with our mind be...

Tomorrow Never Comes - Talk of the Month

This month I have picked out a very short talk (only 3 minutes) by a modern Indian mystic OSHO .  I am coming more and more to the realization that if you can say what you want in a few words then there is usually a lot of truth in it. Our minds are so busy reliving the past or anticipating the future to the point that between these two extremes we miss the journey of life itself because life is always happening HERE and  NOW. We are going through life in such a hurry that we never  allow ourselves the rest to sit back and enjoy the ride with the beauty that is presenting to us at every moment. Or to put it in other words, life with all its possibilities is constantly knocking on our door but we are never there. In my own life, I try as much as possible to stay in the present moment. I find myself easily distracted so the exercise is just to observe this and make a conscious choice of returning to the NOW.  Enjoy the talk ! I wish you all a wonderf...

Why Have We So Many Problems? The Talk Of The Month

In each newsletter I would like to introduce a talk or conversation from people who have accompanied me in my spiritual development.  I would like to start this newsletter with Krishnamurti and his talk about problems.  You can listen to it following the link  at the end of this article. I was very touched by this discourse because it highlighted to me that we are all deeply conditioned, but rarely question or recognize it. By conditioning I mean  the sum of all values, beliefs and 'musts' that have been imprinted on me at a moment when I was too young to question them. If we would recognize that everybody on the planet is deeply conditioned maybe a better understanding of the other could arise. Because what I reject in the other person is maybe not contained in me because I was exposed to a different set of beliefs and values. So I don't reject the person but his conditioning. This could then lead to something like compassion or even understanding for t...
